The developers of the No VR mod for Half-Life: Alyx has released a big summer update. It can be downloaded for free from the ModDB website. Detailed instructions on how to install the modification are also available there.
Main innovations:
- Improved first person view. The weapon began to sway and move more realistically when walking and running.
- Numerous changes have been made to the map so that players do not cling to various objects and move smoothly through levels.
- Location boundaries have been corrected so that players do not end up outside the boundaries of levels where this is not provided for by the game logic.
- Improved aiming.
- It is now possible to complete all the puzzles and get all the achievements on Steam.
- Improved optimization for Steam Deck and added support for PS VR2.
The creators of Half-Life: Alyx No VR reported that they have done a lot of work, but they plan to continue to actively improve the modification. The addon allows you to play Valve's shooter without using a virtual reality headset.
