Mafia: The Old Country was Presented by Hangar 13

Mafia The Old Country

Long-standing rumors about a new Mafia have been confirmed. Hangar 13 is working on Mafia: The Old Country, which takes place in Sicily in the 1900s.

Gamers will have to uncover the origins of organized crime, which originated at the beginning of the 20th century.  "Fight for survival in this dangerous and unforgiving era, bringing the action to life with the authentic realism and rich storytelling that the critically acclaimed Mafia series is renowned for," the developers wrote.

According to Hangar 13 president Nick Baynes, in Mafia: The Old Country the studio will return to the franchise's roots to create a deep, linear story with a flavor of classic mafia films. Players will be thrown into a “stunning new setting” and prepared for them with a "dense story" that will not leave anyone indifferent.

Mafia: The Old Country will be released in 2025 on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series. More information about the project will be revealed in December.
