Unfrozen has announced that Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era launches in Steam and Microsoft Store Early Access on April 30, with Game Pass support from day one.
The Early Access build includes six playable factions — Haven, Dungeon, Schism, Grove, Necropolis, and Hive — along with an in-game tutorial, the first act of the main campaign, and standalone scenarios with their own stories.
Three multiplayer modes are available at launch: Classic, Single Hero, and Arena, each with matchmaking, ranked play, and leaderboards. Additional features include a random map generator, Hotseat mode for local multiplayer, a puzzle challenge set, and a preliminary map editor.
The Early Access period is expected to last approximately one year, though the full release timeline may shift depending on development progress. New content and balance updates based on player feedback are planned throughout.
