Square Enix did not hide that it was preparing a PC version of Final Fantasy 16, and now it has officially announced it - immediately with a release date and a demo version.
Features of the PC version are not disclosed. Here's what we know so far:
- Square Enix offers two bundles: the Basic Edition (game only; $49.99) and the Complete Edition (game and both major expansions, Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide; $69.99). Add-ons can be purchased separately. For pre-order you get a bonus set of items.
- The demo includes an intro (saves carry over to the full game) and a special mode where you can try out more action - this segment was created specifically for the demo.
System Requirements
Minimal:
- Expected performance is 30 fps at 720p.
- OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit).
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-8400.
- Video card: AMD Radeon RX 5700 or Intel Arc A580 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (for all - at least 8 GB of video memory).
- RAM: 16 GB.
- DirectX 12
- Storage: 170 GB on SSD.
Featured:
- Expected performance is 60 fps at 1080p.
- OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit).
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X / Intel Core i7-10700.
- Video card: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 (for all - at least 8 GB of video memory).
- RAM: 16 GB.
- DirectX 12.
- Storage: 170 GB on SSD.
Final Fantasy 16 for PC will be released on September 17th via Steam and Epic Games Store. A demo version is already available in both stores.
