TaleWorlds Entertainment has released nearly 16 minutes of gameplay footage from the upcoming War Sails expansion for Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, giving players their first detailed look at the new naval combat mechanics.
Setting Sail for War
As the name suggests, the DLC's centerpiece is naval warfare. The recent demo pitted the Southern Empire against the Aserai in a sea battle showcasing War Sails' key features:

- 18 diverse ship types with unique stats for building entire fleets to control coastal territories
- Full-scale naval combat, including boarding actions and blockading waterways
- The Nord faction—fierce northern warriors who can serve as formidable enemies or valuable mercenaries

- Maritime expeditions affected by weather conditions like sudden storms
- Additional content for the base game, including companions, banners, hairstyles, tattoos, and armor
Launch Details
Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord – War Sails sets sail November 26 across all platforms. The base game will simultaneously update to version 1.30.
