Square Enix has revealed the contents of Patch 7.1, titled Crossroads, for Final Fantasy 14. It will introduce the first part of the Final Fantasy 11 collaboration, a new dungeon, a fresh challenge, and more. The upcoming update will be the first major update since the release of the Dawntrail expansion.
The main addition to Crossroads will be a collaboration with the eleventh "final". As part of the raid, players will travel to Vana'diel, where the events of FF11 took place.
The update will also continue the main story quest from Dawntrail and introduce a bunch of other interesting additions. Let's list the main ones:
- New dungeon - Yuweyawata Field Station.
- New set of 24-man Alliance raids - Echoes of Vana'diel.
- New trials, raids and quests.
- New client for delivery.
- Support for "New Game +" for quests of patch 7.0.
- Update for the process of decorating the house. Now players will be able to choose the design regardless of the region. Also, new decorative elements will be added.
- Update of the "Hall of Novices", additional voice acting for NPCs and more.
Crossroads will launch sometime in mid-November. The developers will tell about the patch in detail on October 2.
