A couple weeks ago at The Game Awards 2025 ceremony, former Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio head and Yakuza series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi announced his new game — crime action title Gang of Dragon starring Ma Dong-seok in the lead role. Following the debut trailer's release, the developer presented new project screenshots.
Nagoshi Studio's Debut
Gang of Dragon is being created by the relatively young Nagoshi Studio collective, founded under NetEase's wing in 2021. Beyond Nagoshi himself, the team includes other alumni from SEGA and Square Enix.
Kabukicho Setting
The primary setting is Kabukicho — Tokyo's famous criminal district that inspired Yakuza's Kamurocho. Specific story details remain scarce at this stage. It's only known that Ma Dong-seok plays a high-ranking Korean syndicate member. Gameplay-wise, developers offer third-person action using hand-to-hand combat skills, firearms, and vehicles.
Gang of Dragon has no release date yet. Currently, the game is only announced for PC (Steam).
