Developers at Owlcat Games have begun gradually introducing players to companions from Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. The first character-focused trailer centers on Cogg.
Recruit O-118-B, or simply Cogg — a massive Ogryn who, like other representatives of his kind, stands out for physical might. Unlike many other Ogryns, Cogg also boasts military discipline and developed mental capabilities thanks to an implant embedded in his skull. Previously, Cogg served in the 27th Scintillian Fusiliers regiment, where he gained unwavering devotion to the Imperial Creed.
Acolytes of the Imperial Inquisition
Now Cogg joins the retinue of Imperial Inquisition acolytes, whose actions determine the future of the entire Calixis Sector. Throughout the game, players will travel from planet to planet eradicating threats to humanity — including from the traitorous Night Lords legion and the recently emerged Tyrant Star.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is in development for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Release date remains unannounced, though starting December 16, those who preordered the "Digital Developer Kit" or collector's edition can participate in alpha testing.
