Nioh 3 Patch Adds Transmog and Nerfs First Boss Fight

Nioh 3 New Patch

Team NINJA and Koei Tecmo have dropped a new update for Nioh 3. The headline feature is transmog — players can now change the appearance of their gear without affecting its stats.

The patch also fixes dozens of bugs and adjusts balance across the board. The most notable change is a significant nerf to the first boss, Yamagata Masakage — players can now summon Hide, the protagonist of Nioh 2, as an ally during that fight.

On the sales front, Nioh 3 has had a strong launch: the game crossed one million copies sold within its first two weeks and has earned high marks from both critics and players.

Nioh 3 is available on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5. The PS5 exclusivity window runs for at least six months before a potential release on other platforms. A free demo is still available.
