Torn Banner has announced that No More Room in Hell 2 will leave Early Access and launch as a full release this summer. Free weekend runs now through May 4.
The game launched in Early Access in fall 2024 and has accumulated around 20,000 Steam reviews at 48% positive. Technical problems and underwhelming updates are the main drivers of negative feedback.
Players who enjoy the game praise its tense zombie apocalypse atmosphere, strong sound design and ambient audio, and a punishing one-life system that forces careful, deliberate play. The co-op survival loop rewards situational awareness and resource management over reckless action.
On the negative side, recurring complaints cover poor optimization and netcode, no protection against character loss during crashes or server disconnections, limited content across maps, modes, and gear, shallow character progression, and an online population that has dwindled to 70–100 peak concurrent players. Several reviewers also criticize the developers for using Early Access as a shield against criticism while failing to deliver on promised updates.
No More Room in Hell 2 is coming to PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
