The creators of the Ori metroidvania duology at Moon Studios announced the start of open beta testing for Together — a major update for action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked that adds co-op for up to four players.
Beta Branch Access on Steam
Players can test the early co-op version until December 22 through Steam's beta branch. The full update launches a month later on January 22.
Separate Save Files for Beta
The developers thanked everyone who joined the Wicked Inside Showcase and expressed excitement about the January 22 co-op launch based on positive feedback. The team just launched the experimental branch for open co-op beta testing available to all game owners, giving players a chance to help shape the final result.
The experimental branch uses separate saves from the main version, so beta participants start fresh. Characters and progress from the main version remain untouched. Players wanting to play with friends can add them on Steam and invite them to their server. Those seeking teammates can check the official No Rest for the Wicked Discord server's #lookingforplayers channel.
Developers encouraged polite behavior, feedback sharing, and reminded players this is a test environment. All feedback should be left in designated Discord feedback channels or official No Rest for the Wicked forums.
Early Access Since April 2024
No Rest for the Wicked has been in Steam early access since April 2024, with no full release date announced yet. After version 1.0 launches, the game will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
