Overwatch Season 2 Details: New Hero, Switch 2 Version, and More

Overwatch Season 2

Blizzard revealed Season 2 of the revamped Overwatch at Summit, with a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version as one of the headline announcements. Previously the game was only available on Switch via backward compatibility. The native port delivers improved graphics, enhanced audio, and 60 fps in both docked and handheld modes.

Season 2 Content Includes

  • New hero Sierra, whose story ties into the year-long "Talon Dominion" narrative arc
  • Operation Grand Mesa — a three-week event introducing Sierra's backstory and her conflict with Talon, split into four trackable stages
  • Post-match awards return — players vote for the best teammate after each match, with results shown on a new end screen. An optional voice lobby for post-game chat with the opposing team is also being tested
  • Antarctic Peninsula map rework
  • New mythic skin for Soldier: 76 and a mythic skin for Genji's sword
  • Stadium update — Ramattra joins, Juno balance adjustments, new Lijiang Night Market map, and Rocket Kitty arriving mid-season
  • New perk variants for Ramattra, Pharah, Reaper, Soldier: 76, and Mercy
  • Sakura cosmetic set with skins for Hanzo, Genji, Freja, Juno, Emre, and Junker Queen
  • LE SSERAFIM collaboration with 15 hero skins, arriving April 15
  • Battle pass rewards and Overwatch 10th anniversary celebration planned for mid-season

Full patch notes are available on the official site.
