Fable, Black & White, and many other iconic projects creator Peter Molyneux and his studio 22cans announced the release date for the maestro's latest game — Masters of Albion. The title combining strategy, simulation, city management, and tower defense launches April 22.
God Simulator with Day/Night Cycle
Masters of Albion offers players the role of a god managing the small village of Oakridge and its inhabitants. During daytime, you construct buildings, develop production, fulfill orders, and explore surroundings. You can literally possess any character — villager, hero, dog, or even chicken — experiencing the world through their eyes.
Nighttime Monster Defense
But Masters of Albion isn't limited to building. At night, cities face monster and creature attacks, requiring players to defend the population using hero armies, defensive towers, or divine powers. With the "Divine Hand," you can throw lightning, fireballs, stones, or even control people and objects, interacting with the world virtually without limits.
Story of Magic's Return
Story-wise, old Albion fell to modern technology's onslaught, but magic attempts to return. Players become the Chosen One, endowed with godly power, protecting inhabitants and opposing an ancient enemy using the Mask's power.
Open World Exploration
The game world is open for free exploration. Complete quests, search for treasures, fight bandits in caves, and upgrade hero equipment. The building system allows creating unique structures.
Redemption Attempt
In one interview, Peter Molyneux said Masters of Albion would be an attempt to redeem promises he once failed to keep. Whether this attempt succeeds can be verified on PC via Steam.
