Phantom Blade Zero: 11-Minute Gameplay Trailer, Pre-Orders Live, and Donnie Yen Involvement

Phantom Blade Zero

S-GAME has released an 11-minute gameplay trailer for Phantom Blade Zero and opened pre-orders. A State of Play showcase is also confirmed for August 18, where the team will reveal more about key characters and build customization.

The trailer opens with a high-speed chase — protagonist Soul protects a coachman from gunfire before taking the reins himself and fighting an enemy on a moving wagon. The sequence leads into a boss encounter: an Order Hunter with a red mist where his face should be, chained twin axes, and a full health bar. The demon attacks both up close and from range, using cliffs and overhanging trees to swing and strike from a distance.

Beyond combat, the trailer introduces the main cast. Soul will encounter a collector of relics, a girl blacksmith, and others who aid his mission to expose a conspiracy and clear his name. A serious injury early in the story leaves Soul with just 66 days to live.

The big reveal comes at the end: Donnie Yen — actor, director, stunt choreographer, and martial arts master known for Ip Man and John Wick 4 — has been involved in development since 2023. He lent his likeness and voice to Mo Yuan, Soul's father, and served as creative consultant for the kung fu combat, choreographing the game's fight sequences.
