Impact Inked, Team Beef, and Running With Scissors have announced that Postal 2 Redux launches in spring 2027. A set of screenshots showing the updated visuals has been released alongside the announcement.
The remaster rebuilds Postal 2 in Unity 6 while keeping the original gameplay intact — the Postal Dude's mundane errands spiraling into chaos, now with modern upgrades.
Key changes include a global visual overhaul covering textures, models, and lighting; a seamless open world with no loading between areas; improved crowd AI with better NPC reactions; reworked physics and action; fully redesigned interiors with increased destructibility; an updated Champ the dog who can be sicced on bystanders; and quality of life improvements including ultrawide monitor support, modern controls, and a revamped UI.
Postal 2 Redux launches first on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2, plus Meta Quest. Xbox and Switch versions follow later.
