Remnant 2 content support lasted a little over a year. Now it has ended with the release of The Dark Horizon, the final and most ambitious DLC for the project.
In the latest addition, players will encounter a new storyline on the devastated N'Erud. The heroes will visit additional locations and try to fight back against the maddened AI.
Among the main innovations:
- A new class Overseer, the key feature of which is a companion drone with customizable abilities. The drone can generate shields, deal damage or heal your allies.
- A new way to move using gliders.
- New dungeons and many items, including weapons with modifiers.
- New characters, enemies and bosses.
In addition to the DLC, Gunfire Games released an update with improvements to game systems and a new Boss Rush mode. Gamers are free to take turns fighting bosses either alone or in co-op with friends. In total, the mode provides three difficulty levels: Triple Threat with three bosses, Trial by Fire with seven, and Obstacle Course with twenty.
The DLC was registered on Steam and EGS, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The basic Remnant 2 was released in July 2023. To date, the game has over 37 thousand "very positive" reviews on Steam (84%).
