Gunfire Games has announced the third and final DLC for the action movie Remnant 2. It is called The Dark Horizon and will be released in September.
As part of the DLC, players will once again travel to the lifeless N'erud and encounter an unknown phenomenon that has engulfed this world. The team promised to reveal other details (like a new progress system) in the future.
"Our goal is for The Dark Horizon to be the most expansive DLC for Remnant 2," the studio wrote. "Not only have we packed this DLC full of even more of the Remnant greatness you’ve come to expect, but we’re also hard at work on a brand-new game mode that will be free for everyone that we’ll reveal soon, along with a new progression system."
Initially, Gunfire Games planned to release all three DLCs within a year of the game's launch. However, The Dark Horizon has been slightly delayed as the developers want to iron out all the rough edges and squash the bugs to give fans the adventure they deserve.
The studio thanked gamers for their support and dedication to the game throughout the entire time after release: "The past year has been nothing short of amazing, and we’re glad that Remnant 2 and its DLCs have brought you as much joy as it has brought us creating this world for you."
Let us remember that Remnant 2 was released in July 2023 and received critical acclaim - the action film currently has 80 points on Metacritic. Meanwhile, the game's user rating stood at 84% on Steam. The sequel sold over 2 million copies.
