Sad Cat Studios has released a community-requested update for REPLACED addressing the most popular feature requests.
Three additions are included. Chapter select now lets players restart any story chapter, with collectible counts displayed beneath each chapter in the menu. Black letterbox bars can now be toggled off in the graphics settings — REPLACED was designed for a 21:9 aspect ratio and the bars were intended to add a cinematic feel, but on displays like the Steam Deck they eat into valuable screen space. Dialog animation skipping is also now available and enabled by default.
Players continue to request further improvements, including a film grain toggle and an arcade mode for endless combat.
REPLACED is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
