Arc System Works announced at EVO 2026 that Robo-Ky launches as the second Season 5 fighter for Guilty Gear: Strive on July 2.
Robo-Ky previously appeared in the game only as a flying head accompanying Venom. With a full body of his own, he's set to once again insist he's better than the original. His abilities revolve around the Electric Gauge, a resource that charges throughout battle and powers up his special moves the fuller it gets
Specific Moves Include
- Gimmic-KY, which lays a charging mat to build Electric Gauge;
- Jun-KY Bargain, a projectile that gains homing at gauge level 2 and fires multiple shots at level 3;
- KY-Zen Blitz, a dashing attack that builds gauge and adds a follow-up hit on connect;
- Spar-KY Surprise, an unblockable double-shocker strike;
- Luc-KY Launcher, an uppercut that grows stronger with gauge;
- Beautiful S-KY Today, a jump with brief airborne hover;
- What's Useless will Always Be So, a multi-hit combo whose length scales with gauge;
- Ris-KY Lovers, a temporary power-up that consumes gauge to strengthen specials and explodes for area damage once the gauge hits zero.
As with Jam, Robo-Ky launches with seven alternate colors and a dedicated music track composed by Daisuke Ishiwatari. Two more characters are planned for winter and spring 2027, still under wraps.
Guilty Gear: Strive is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
