The team at Firaxis Games continues working on improvements to Sid Meier's Civilization 7 following its less-than-impressive launch. By the end of September, they prepared another major update numbered 1.2.5.
The latest patch offers:
- Enhanced map generation algorithm with two new types:
- Continents and Islands — two large continents with a number of islands.
- Pangaea and Islands — one large continent with a number of islands.
- UI refinements — for example, base yields now display by default in the production menu.
- New city-state types — Diplomatic and Expansionist. Developers also updated city-state bonuses.
- Comprehensive bug fixes and rebalancing (particularly affecting Napoleon).
Sid Meier's Civilization 7 is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. During Steam's autumn sale, the game is 30% off through the evening of October 6.
