Soulslike Valor Mortis Moved to October 13

Valor Mortis

One More Level announced a September release date for the Napoleonic soulslike Valor Mortis at the Xbox Games Showcase, but the game is already being pushed back — now targeting October 13.

The studio explained that the date had to be locked in weeks before the showcase, and while they suspected September would be crowded, the full picture only became clear later. September turned out to be packed with releases including Control Resonant, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Silent Hill: Townfall, prompting the move. October 13 brings its own competition — Gears of War: E-Day, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and a Dragon's Dogma 2 expansion — but the studio felt it was the better window. The extra time will also be used to polish the game based on player feedback.

Valor Mortis is coming to PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
