Competitive shooter Spectre Divide, the main feature of which is controlling two fighters at once, got a launch date. Studio Mountaintop is preparing for the release of the game on September 3.
Servers will go live at 9 AM PT, operational across the US, EU, Asia Pacific, and Australia. This launch will also mark the first opportunity to explore our new map, Commons.
As a reminder, Spectre Divide will offer matches in the 3 vs 3 format, but there will ultimately be up to 12 characters on the battlefield. At the start of each round, users will have two bodies available to them, which they can switch between. Thanks to the phantoms, each player will have two lives.
Spectre Divide will feature a ton of cosmetic items, but there will be no loot boxes. Mike Grzesiek, known by his nickname Shroud, one of the most famous eSports players and streamers in the competitive shooter scene, participated in the creation of the shooter.
"This game is a love letter to all fans of the tactical shooter genre. We hope that you will appreciate all our care and attention. The launch is just the beginning! We promise to keep the game fresh and interesting for everyone," - from the developer's message.
Spectre Divide will be distributed as a free-to-play title via Steam.
