Bethesda has released a first look at gameplay for Starfield's Shattered Space expansion. The video features footage of pure gameplay, as well as developer commentary.
Below are the most interesting details:
- The plot will develop only on the cult's home planet. You can leave it at any time to do other things, but the Shattered Space quests will not make you wander around the galaxy.
- The player will arrive on the planet several weeks after a large-scale experiment that did not go according to plan. A rupture in the fabric of space-time swallowed up a significant part of the capital. The locals will still be cleaning up the aftermath and looking for survivors, in which the player can help.
- After the incident, the main leader of the cult also disappeared. Therefore, the elder houses began to fight for power and the player will be able to decide the outcome of this factional war.
- In combat clashes, the distances will be significantly shorter than in the base game.
- It is also worth preparing for sudden attacks by new opponents from the "other side".
Shattered Space is scheduled for release on September 30. The add-on costs $29.99 on Steam.
