The creators of Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition at FireFly Studios have released the first DLC, The Canary & The Trader, bringing new content to players.
To mark the expansion’s launch, the developers released a trailer. The Canary & The Trader offers:
- Two new AI lords with unique tactics and memorable quips:
- The Canary: A cowardly relative of The Rat, relying on traps and defensive strategies.
- The Trader: An immensely wealthy commander focused on a strong economy and swift attacks.
- Nine new missions woven into the intricate “Jackal’s Trail” campaign.
- New gameplay scenarios, including battlefields, unit combinations, unique castle designs, and more.
Alongside the DLC, the developers rolled out a major Update 2.0. Beyond bug fixes and gameplay system improvements, the patch includes new content such as:
- A new AI lord, The Crocodile, a ruthless swamp overlord, available in skirmish mode and a new five-mission economic campaign.
- Three new maps for skirmish, sandbox, and multiplayer modes.
- A customizable randomizer for skirmish mode.
- A brand-new coat-of-arms editor.
- Expanded multiplayer and co-op settings.
Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition is available on PC (Steam), boasting a “Very Positive” rating of 90% based on over 6,000 reviews.
