Unknown Worlds Entertainment has released a new gameplay trailer for Subnautica 2 showing off the underwater world players will explore and survive in.
The game supports solo play or co-op for up to four players. Players take on the role of pioneers given the chance to settle a new planet by the Alterra corporation — only to end up shipwrecked in the middle of a vast ocean. Survival, base building, and exploring the depths make up the core loop.
To mark the occasion, the studio also announced that Subnautica 2 has hit 5 million wishlists. As a thank-you, all players on all platforms will receive a blueprint for a Reaper Leviathan figurine from day one of Early Access — not just during the first week.
Subnautica 2 Early Access launches May 14 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass. Full release is planned in approximately 2–3 years.
