As part of the Xbox Partner Preview presentation, Unknown Worlds Entertainment studio presented the debut trailer of Subnautica 2. The sequel to the famous underwater survival game will appear in Early Access in 2025 and will be distributed also through Game Pass.
We've been hard at work behind the scenes building the foundation for the next installment of Subnautica. Our goal has always been to provide early access to as many players as possible in order to develop the project together with our fans. The developers say that you don't have to be familiar with the original to dive into Subnautica 2, as the events of the sequel will unfold outside the planet 4546B. In addition to the classic elements of gameplay gamers will be met with a lot of innovations that will make them “jump for joy”. One of the most notable innovations is the cooperative mode for up to four players.
Subnautica 2 is currently announced for PC (Steam) and Xbox Series only. More details will be revealed in time.
