Devolver Digital and Artificer have released Sumerian Six, a stealth tactic set in an alternative World War 2 with Nazi demons. Judging by the reviews in the press, the game turned out to be pretty good, although it doesn't quite measure up to the best of the genre in recent years.
Let us recall that the main characters of Sumerian Six are the special squad "Enigma", consisting of scientists from all over the world. Among them is an exiled chemist, an esoteric psychologist and even a werewolf bear. Together, they follow the trail of their former comrade, who plans to use the mysterious matter Geiststoff to bring victory to the Nazis.
As the authors promise, Sumerian Six will feature heavily armed enemies (as well as mutants and paranormal entities), various ways of passing, locations in different corners of alternative history and unique abilities of the main characters, which form tactical combinations.
At the time of writing, the press rated Sumerian Six at 77 points out of 100. Judging by the conclusions in the reviews, the game offers solid gameplay in the style of Commandos, although not of the same quality that Mimimi Games produced. However, since Mimimi is no more, Artificer is quite capable of taking its place, writes one of the reviewers.
