The anticipated announcement of the Sanctuary of Sarras expansion for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon came much sooner than expected. Even better, the DLC releases in exactly one week — December 15 — and will sell for $15. For the occasion, developers at Questline and Awaken Realms prepared a corresponding trailer and revealed what awaits players in the upcoming add-on.
Underwater Kingdom Awaits
Players are invited to visit a completely new underwater realm and uncover additional episodes in the story of Avalon's heroes.
The fresh content unlocks upon reaching Act 2 and includes:
- New storyline in a separate region with 10-15 hours of content, featuring its own characters, side quests, and more
- 3 new skill trees
- 4 new bosses
- 12 new unique enemy types
- Over 20 handcrafted dungeons and interiors
- 100+ equipment items including armor, melee weapons, bows, rings, amulets, spells, relics, and more
Free Update and Bonus Content
Alongside the DLC announcement, developers released substantial update 1.15, primarily focused on optimization improvements for all target platforms. Beyond performance enhancements, the patch includes traditional bug fixes and rebalancing. But that's not all! As thanks for continued support, developers released a small free expansion including five brand-new armor sets plus several alternate appearances for pet Qrko, King Arthur, and Caradoc.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is available on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Currently, the Steam version has 88% positive reviews from over 22,000 players.
