Developers from Bulwark Studios recently released a gameplay overview trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2. In the nearly 5-minute video, the creators briefly outlined the game's core elements.
This new turn-based tactics game set in the Warhammer 40K universe depicts the conflict between Adeptus Mechanicus tech-priests and the Necrons. Both factions feature distinctive gameplay mechanics and full story campaigns. Leading the tech-priests is Magos-Dominus Faustinus, while the Necrons are commanded by the recently awakened Wargird Nefersah.
The Adeptus Mechanicus seeks to defend their forge world, while the Necrons aim to cleanse it of outsiders. Throughout the campaign, players will visit diverse locations featuring destructible objects that can be used as cover, and experience the abilities of various units tasked with protecting their leader while executing strategy. Leaders can also be upgraded, unlocking access to new abilities.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 is being developed for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Release timing remains unknown.
