Techland Preparing First Bug Fixes for Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light The Beast Hotfix

Techland recently delighted audiences with the release of Dying Light: The Beast — a new entry in the Dying Light series continuing Kyle Crane's story. In less than a week, the game has gathered over 16,000 "Very Positive" reviews, though players have encountered minor issues. The studio is already working on addressing these problems in the first hotfix, launching very soon.

Common Issues and Fixes

Player experiences have been particularly affected by bugs involving indoor rain, broken day-night cycles, texture clipping, and similar issues. The first hotfix focuses on resolving these problems. To compensate for player inconvenience ahead of the update's release, developers have provided a new shotgun skin now available in the arsenal.

Techland acknowledged they've seen player feedback about indoor rain and day-night cycle disruption. The team explained they're actively working on solutions, with the hotfix ready by the start of the week. The developers noted they've prepared fixes but need additional testing time, conducting tests throughout the weekend and continuing work through most of Monday. If no issues arise, they'll immediately release the hotfix for PC players first.

The studio expressed gratitude for player patience, acknowledging these problems are frustrating for affected players while doing everything possible to provide stable solutions as quickly as possible.

Availability and Access

Dying Light: The Beast is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series with Steam Deck compatibility. Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition owners received the new game for free.
