Studio Reset, a new indie studio founded by alumni from BioWare, Inflexion Games, and Timbre Games, has announced its debut project: The Eventide, a neo-noir paranormal detective game. No release date has been set.
The story centers on a team of paranormal investigators in a fictional Canadian town, quietly handling supernatural cases most people don't even know exist. Players assign investigators to cases scattered across the city, with each agent bringing their own background, beliefs, and perspective.
The standout mechanic is Parallax Deduction — the same case can unfold differently depending on which agents handle it, as each character interprets clues and writes reports through their own lens. The visual style draws from oil painting aesthetics.
Three investigators are confirmed so far: Evelyn "Eve" Atwood, a cryptozoologist who approaches the supernatural through physical evidence and biology; Sam "Brass" Hingle, a former detective who reads people and motivations better than anyone; and Kira, [DATA REDACTED] — quiet and observant, she senses hidden psychic and emotional energy others miss.
The game is coming to PC via Steam.
