Publisher Xbox Game Studios, alongside developers from Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, shared the first details about the Ninja Gaiden 4 expansion called The Two Masters. The news came during a recent Xbox podcast episode.
According to Team Ninja producer and leader Masakazu Hirayama, The Two Masters will add one new weapon each for protagonists Yakumo and Ryu. Each weapon will have distinctive characteristics and numerous mechanics.
Additionally, the DLC will include story content set after the main game's conclusion. Challenge enthusiasts won't be overlooked either — special challenges will be introduced that stand apart from the Ninja Trials in Ninja Gaiden 4.
The Two Masters arrives in early 2026. The expansion is already included in the Deluxe Edition of the fourth installment and can also be accessed by purchasing the Deluxe upgrade.
Ninja Gaiden 4 itself launches October 21 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, including Game Pass. Preordering any edition grants a special Yakumo outfit.
