Titan Quest 2 Early Access Now Available with Roadmap

Titan Quest 2 Main

Titan Quest 2 has officially entered Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store, giving players their first chance to experience the highly anticipated ARPG sequel. Developer THQ Nordic has also released a comprehensive roadmap outlining the game's development trajectory through to its planned full release.

Early Access Development Plan

The studio has committed to major content updates approximately every three months throughout the Early Access period. These substantial updates will introduce new masteries, campaign chapters, character creation tools, and enhanced gameplay systems. Between these major releases, smaller patches will address mechanics improvements, bug fixes, balancing adjustments, and quality-of-life enhancements.

The developers emphasize that Early Access represents their preferred approach for Titan Quest 2's development, allowing for collaborative iteration with the player community in the competitive ARPG market.

Pricing and Release Timeline

Early Access is currently priced at $29.99, with a limited-time launch discount reducing the cost to $24.99 until August 8th. The full release is planned to retail for $49.99, with incremental price increases scheduled throughout the Early Access phase. The development team is targeting late 2026 for the complete 1.0 launch.

Console versions for PlayStation and Xbox are confirmed for the full release, while the Early Access version remains exclusive to PC platforms including Steam, Epic Games Store, and GeForce Now.

Features and Content Plans

Multiplayer functionality is available in preview form, supporting up to four players cooperatively, though some bugs may be present. A comprehensive character creator is slated for one of the first major Early Access updates, expanding beyond the current preset options.

The final game will feature at least six masteries, designed to be more versatile and impactful than those in the original Titan Quest. Additional masteries may arrive through future DLC or expansion content. The developers have ruled out both mounts and PvP functionality.

While the team is actively developing endgame content, specific details remain under wraps until later in the Early Access period. The game includes basic data modding support, with future expansion dependent on community demand and technical feasibility.

THQ Nordic has confirmed that Titan Quest 2 will avoid microtransactions and loot box mechanics, instead planning traditional DLC and expansion releases following the full launch.
