During the Valorant Champions Paris tournament finals, Riot Games unveiled a new fighter for the competitive shooter. Meet Veto, a Sentinel-class agent specializing in defense.
Veto hails from Senegal. Thanks to a DNA mutation, he can neutralize and counter enemy abilities, forcing opponents to rely solely on firearms when facing him.
The newcomer's abilities include:
- Chokehold — Veto forms a mutation mass and throws it. Upon hitting a surface, it creates a trap that immobilizes enemies and applies debuffs.
- Crosscut — Places a vortex on the ground that Veto can teleport to if within range and line of sight.
- Interceptor — Deploys an activatable interceptor that destroys any projectile bouncing off players or vulnerable to gunfire.
- Evolution — Ultimate ability. Instantly triggers full mutation, granting Veto a combat stim and regeneration while becoming immune to all debuffs.
Veto joins the Valorant roster on October 7 as part of Act 5 of the 2025 season.
