Owlcat Games has released a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy introducing companion Heimar Davos — a veteran of the Astra Militarum from the death world Catachan.
Catachan is one of the most hostile planets in the Imperium, where the flora, fauna, climate, and even the soil itself are actively lethal to outsiders. Those who survive become hardened, adaptable fighters — and Heimar is among the best of them.
A former member of the elite Catachan Devils, he brings lethal efficiency to both ranged and melee combat. His skills earned him a place in the Inquisition, where he has served in the Calixis Sector for years, repeatedly pulling his warband through dire situations.
No release date has been announced. A closed alpha is currently underway — players who pre-order the Digital Developer Kit ($79) or the collector's edition ($289) on the studio's official site can request access.
On a related note, Owlcat has also announced a new DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader — the upcoming Innumerable Museion expansion adds a new companion, tech-priest Eogann Februus, who also received his own trailer.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is in development for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
