Developers from Fatshark have announced the release date of the global Grim Protocols update for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide — the update will be released on December 3.
In the update, the authors offer:
- A new Havoc mode, aimed at experienced endgame players. It features hardcore challenges with new cosmetic rewards. Details of the mode will be revealed over time.
- A new Dark Communion mission, in which gamers will return to the Carnival and fight back against hordes of cultists.
- Three new types of weapons - two-handed power and energy swords, as well as heavy hammers for the Ogryns.
- A temporary event in honor of the game's second anniversary. For participating in the event, gamers will receive a reward in the form of a unique weapon.
- New challenges, bug fixes, and various improvements to game mechanics.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series. The PlayStation 5 version will be released simultaneously with the update.
