Developers at Bulwark Studios have finally unveiled the release window for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 — the new isometric tactics game set in the Warhammer 40K universe launches spring 2026.
Leader Showcase Video
The team announced the launch timeframe in a fresh video showcasing abilities of two leaders: Tech-Acquisitor Scaevola and Necron Lord Ominak. As a reminder, the game's events unfold on a Forge World where conflict erupted between the Adeptus Mechanicus and awakened Necrons led by Wargard Nefershar. The Necrons seek to cleanse their world of invaders while Tech-Priests defend their interests under Magos-Dominus Faustinus.
Optimization and Feature Additions
Currently, developers continue working on optimization and improving turn-based combat pacing. Additionally, players can expect a pleasant surprise — responding to numerous requests, developers decided to add Tech-Priest voice acting in Lingua-Technis.
After releasing the demo for October's "Be Games" festival on Steam, the team analyzed all feedback from both faithful Omnissiah followers and newcomers. One of the most frequent requests was restoring Lingua-Technis, the special machine language of the Machine God's followers that helped create the original game's unique atmosphere. Given the demand, developers added this language as an option for those who prefer it over standard voice acting.
The studio is also diligently working on performance optimization and improving every minute of gameplay, especially regarding speed. Animation acceleration settings from the demo will remain, plus an option to automatically select the "Move" action when choosing a unit to maintain fast game pace and reduce auxiliary actions. The main goal is releasing a version that meets both player expectations and the studio's own standards.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 is in development for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
