Where Winds Meet Reveals January 2026 Content Roadmap

Where Winds Meet Plans 2026

Ahead of the new year, developer Everstone Studio revealed plans to continue expanding Where Winds Meet by releasing a full January 2026 content roadmap. Following the game's November 14 launch, the free-to-play MMO has maintained a healthy player base, pushing the studio to keep improving the game with post-launch updates, new content, and features.

Strong Launch Performance

As the game approaches its two-month anniversary in January, Everstone Studio has already seen considerable success with Where Winds Meet. The MMO has flown past major player milestones, expanded to mobile devices in December, and released an update expanding the game world by over a third. The constant release cycle of patches and content updates appears to be the norm as Everstone Studio released another weekly update schedule for January 2026.

Week-by-Week Breakdown

Week 1 (January 4): World Level increases to 10 for Solo Play Level, unlocking Unbound. Hero's Realm: Sorrow of Mortalbound launches — a 10-person endgame activity.

Week 2 (January 8): Update 1.2 adds new Legacy Quests and unlocks the Kaifeng Campaign. New World Boss Nameless General becomes available, alongside limited-time event Jianghu Martial Games.

Week 3 (January 16): New Puzzle Cave called Mistveil Prison arrives. Large-scale 30v30 Guild vs. Guild battles launch. January 22 brings new region Nine Mortal Ways Base — appearing instance-sized rather than resembling Roaring Sands' scale.

Week 4 (January 25): New story Whispers Beneath the Moon unlocks. January 29 kicks off two special events: Year of Abundance and Season-End Dash, appearing to align with Chinese New Year celebrations with expected cosmetic gear, activities, and mini-games.

Continuing Ambitious Support

This January roadmap shouldn't surprise fans, as Everstone Studio maintained a similarly ambitious December 2025 plan with weekly content releases. Last month saw the mobile launch, Roaring Sands region with world bosses, limited-time events, farmable PvE activity Scarlet Shock Sword Trial, and 10-person cooperative activity Blazing Gale Dance.

Where Winds Meet is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and mobile devices with cross-play support.
