KING Art has released a 16-minute gameplay demo for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4, featuring a 1v1 match between creative director Jan Theysen and senior game designer Elliott Verbiest — this time Necrons against Adeptus Mechanicus.
The matchup highlights two radically different faction styles. Adeptus Mechanicus excel at holding territory and controlling key map positions, while Necrons apply relentless pressure that can swing the battle quickly if left unchecked.
The four launch factions are Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Space Marines, and Orks. Post-launch content is planned, with the first new faction arriving in spring 2027 alongside the Aftermath DLC.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 launches September 17 on PC via Steam.
