The global modification Fallout: London, released in mid-summer, quickly won the public's love and broke the record for download speed in GOG. Although the fan project achieved resounding success, it was not without its shortcomings, including bugs and optimization problems.
Enthusiasts from Team FOLON are actively working on improving their brainchild. Soon the mod will receive update 1.02, for the creation of which the developers have enlisted third-party help. According to them, the update will be released before the MCM Comic Con festival, which is held in London from October 25 to 27.
Dean "Prilladog" Carter, Game Director for Fallout: London, shared: "This patch took a little longer than expected, but there's a good reason for that. We brought in some outside help to improve performance, facegen data, and LODs. It took a while to get everything right, and you should have seen the difference! This update will offer HUGE improvements, so we're excited to take the extra time to put it all together!"
The update will also fix bugs with crashes and broken saves, refine scripts in quests and fix gameplay mechanics. You will no longer be able to devour robots using the Cannibal perk or get to the Bank of England ahead of time due to sleepwalking. You can read the preliminary patch notes here.
After the end of support for Fallout: London, the team will begin developing their own commercial game. The success of the modification prompted the craftsmen from Team FOLON to open a full-fledged indie studio and work on projects based on their own intellectual property with complete creative freedom.
