IGN has published a 19-minute gameplay demo showing the opening of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, launching July 9.
The upgraded visuals are immediately noticeable, but the changes go well beyond graphics. Combat is more dynamic, with parries and takedowns taking center stage. Stealth and parkour have been improved — escaping enemies and pulling off quick kills is smoother. The Jackdaw gains numerous upgrades to hold its own against powerful enemy ships, and naval combat includes alternative firing modes. General quality of life improvements address issues players noted with the original.
The world is seamless with no loading screens, built on the updated Anvil engine. Players can sail stormy seas, dive to sunken ships, and explore tropical jungles, with ray tracing and Dolby Atmos enhancing the experience.
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced launches July 9 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
