Infinity Ward Shows Off Kill Block — MW4's Procedurally Generated Multiplayer Mode

Kill Block Call Of Duty

Infinity Ward has revealed Kill Block, a new multiplayer mode coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The mode features a small map that's procedurally assembled from hundreds of possible combinations between matches.

Each map is built from three sections composed of individual modules called Slabs — some inspired by classic Modern Warfare locations, others created from scratch. With over 500 possible layouts at launch, no two matches play out on the same map.

Kill Block launches with 3v3 and the new 10v10 Gunfight formats. Traditional modes like Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed will be added later. All players start each match with the same random weapon loadout, grenades, and tactical equipment. Custom loadouts will be introduced once classic modes arrive.

Kill Block Call Of Duty 2

The mode debuts live this week at Fanatics Fest NYC, running July 16–19, marking the first public multiplayer showing for Modern Warfare 4.

Kill Block Call Of Duty 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Battle.net), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
