Mojang Studios has quietly announced that Minecraft launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27.
The Switch 2 version supports the Vibrant Visuals enhanced graphics mode, featuring improved lighting, volumetric fog, dynamic shadows, and more. Some features, including Vibrant Visuals, won't be available in split-screen mode. The Nintendo-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up content also receives a visual upgrade.
Owners of Minecraft on the original Switch will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 version, though details and pricing haven't been confirmed yet — it likely won't be free.
Minecraft is also available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile.
