Capcom has moved the Onimusha: Way of the Sword release date from September 25 to September 4, opting to get ahead of the crowded fall window despite previously saying it wasn't concerned about the competition.
Pre-order bonuses are being converted to early purchase bonuses, available until September 24 on PC (Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2, and until September 26 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). A demo update is also coming to reflect the changes, with no new content included.
The game is set in Edo-period Kyoto, where samurai Miyamoto Musashi battles demons that have crossed over from the underworld.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is coming to PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
