Overlord Rising Hell

Overlord: Raising Hell

Raising Hell expands the original Overlord with new supernatural versions of the five conquered kingdoms. After portals to the Abyss appear, the Overlord and his Minions descend into hellish new areas tied to Mellow Hills, Evernight, Heaven’s Peak, the Golden Halls, and the Ruborian Desert. Players command different Minion types, solve environmental puzzles, defeat corrupted heroes, and continue building the Overlord’s reign through destructive and often darkly comic choices.

Overlord: Raising Hell Review

The main game had a ton of problems, and here they were starting to figure them out. I still can’t recommend the main game standalone, but if you get Overlord: Raising Hell with the expansion, it might be worth your time, even if you play in 2026.

The new levels make the entire experience much more digestible. You can get it on GOG or Steam, though, this is one of those times where I’ll recommend GOG over Steam. GOG includes “Raising Hell” with the original game. On Steam, “Raising Hell” is sold separately and requires the base game, although a bundle containing both is available.
