Unknown Worlds has outlined the upcoming update roadmap for Subnautica 2 during Early Access.
Patch 1.1 — Quality of Life
Improvements to the biomod system, blight encounters, wreck gameplay, vehicle docking and assembly, PDA database, and voice log prioritization. New additions include passive biomod slots, storage, and sprinting.
Patch 1.2 — Co-op Expansion
UI signal improvements, base building tool refinements, and pinned blueprint system updates. New additions include voice chat, emotes, player-to-player trading, ally reviving, and additional customization options.
Future Updates — New Region
New biomes, creatures, resources, tools, a new vehicle, and the next story chapter.
Ongoing work across all updates will cover bug fixes, optimization, and survival balance adjustments.
Subnautica 2 is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series, including Game Pass.
