Ashborne Games has rebranded their medieval life sim as The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410, and confirmed an Early Access launch date of September 17 on Steam.
The name change is intended to make clear that the game is a spiritual successor to the original Europa 1400: The Guild — not a follow-up to The Guild 2 or The Guild 3.
The developers note that many players came to the series through those later entries, which lean into character-driven drama and romance, while this remake returns to the economic simulation roots of the first game: business strategy, dynasty management, cutthroat entrepreneurship, and political intrigue played from a top-down perspective.
