2K and Gearbox have revealed Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, the first of two planned story expansions for Borderlands 4. It launches March 26 (March 27 in some regions).
The DLC is available separately or as part of the Vault Hunter Pack, which is included in the Super Deluxe Edition ($129.99). The campaign sends players to a snow-covered region to take down a malevolent cosmic entity. Alongside Ellie — Moxxi's daughter — the team works to destroy an alien monolith and break into the Vault of the Damned.
The expansion includes:
- New Vault Hunter — C4SH (Н@Л in Russian localization), a rogue ex-robo-dealer who left a casino for a life of freedom. Three unique action skills with three skill trees.
- New region — Whispering Glacier, a secrets-filled zone on Kairos.
- New missions — main and side quests featuring 2 main bosses and 16 mini-bosses.
New weapons:
- 3 pearlescent weapons
- 10 legendary guns
- 2 legendary heavy weapons
- 2 legendary shields
- 2 legendary grenades
- 5 legendary class mods (one per playable character)
New cosmetics:
- 2 Vault Hunter heads and 4 Vault Hunter skins available to all characters
- 8 heads and 2 skins exclusive to C4SH
- 4 weapon tints, 4 vehicle skins
- 3 ECHO-4 drone skins and 1 ECHO-4 body
