GTA 6 Could Launch on PC in Early 2027, Report Claims

Gta 6 Pc Release Annoucement

Grand Theft Auto VI could reach PC much sooner than expected. GamesBeat reported on October 13 that Rockstar Games is aiming for the first quarter of 2027, only a few months after the game comes out on consoles on November 19, 2026.

GamesBeat’s Alexander Lee cites four independent industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans, all of whom asked not to be named. Rockstar didn’t respond to a request for comment, and the studio hasn’t announced a PC version.

A release between January and March 2027 would be a big departure for Rockstar. GTA 5 hit consoles in September 2013, and PC players didn’t get it until April 2015, about 19 months later.

According to GamesBeat, the shorter wait may be connected to Rockstar’s growing interest in roleplaying and player-made content. Rockstar bought Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, in August 2023, though it hasn’t confirmed any modding support for GTA 6.

Officially, GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19. The official PC release is still unconfirmed.
