The
Nintendo Switch 2 version of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader launched in poor
shape, drawing complaints about low performance, instability, and bugs. Owlcat
Games has released a major update addressing the issues — and as an apology,
made all DLC for the Switch 2 version free.
The studio acknowledged this was their first native Switch 2 port and that they underestimated the technical challenges involved. The update brings significant optimization work, bug fixes, and both performance and visual improvements.
The Deluxe Pack, Void Shadows, and Lex Imperialis are already available at no cost on Switch 2. The Infinite Museion and Processional of the Damned will follow. In regions where local regulations prevent free DLC — including Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea — prices have been set to the minimum possible.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader has sold 2 million copies across all platforms. The game is available on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
